Antique French Carriage Clock. This antique carriage clock, circa 1850-1880, is what the really elegant man in the 19th century took in his carriage to advise him of the time, hence the name Carriage Clock. This is the glitzy nouveau-riche model. This style was called the "Corniche" style and by pressing an inconspicuous button on the top of the clock, it will chime out the time in hours via a bell. This watch has been cleaned and serviced. I see clocks selling like this at Sotheby's auctions at $25,000 to $30,000. This clock comes with a one-year warranty.
