This watch is Zenith's newest offering in the big, in-your-face, macho sports watches. This watch is so technically avant-garde that to my knowledge, nothing that Switzerland has to offer even comes near it. The Zenith company has been silently waiting to bust upon the market for almost 50 years. As some of you know, for many years they were not allowed to use the name Zenith (Zee-nith) because of conflict with the electronic company of the same name. Since then, they have decided to soften the E so that their name is pronounced "Zeh-nith", not "ZEE-nith". In addition to the millions that the company has received as being part of the LVMH group, Zenith has received the marketing and horse-power to take on all comers. At a massive 45mm, this watch is not designed for the faint of wrist. Besides keeping the time, it has a power reserve indicator, subsidiary seconds, chronograph functions, and a most artistic view of the innards of the watch through a special window cut in the face and the sapphire exhibition caseback.
