It was developed to give off-color diamonds a better jewelry look. So what we have here is a really rare piece that you will not see anywhere else. In its simplicity, it’s beautiful. I think the appraisal should have been more then $17,000 especially when you take into account the rarity of the design and the components. Apparently, the appraiser is a conservative soul.
